Justin and the Honored None is a multidisciplinary artist, rapper, and educator working across abstract hip-hop and eco-processed film collage. Drawing on the Black radical tradition and its poetics of memory, care, and collective survival, his practice listens for what is already present in the land, the ancestors, and the spaces between. Grounded in the materials at hand, it finds meaning in the raw and unfinished. His emerging visual work develops Super 8 with natural earth materials, layering the results with archival footage and digital ephemera into film collages that bend time and tend to the earth as philosophy rather than technique, a collaboration with the land itself. Rooted in collective relation, it is made to be shared and to grow alongside others. The Honored None names what has always been there, even if unseen.
